He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Yeary and Ruby Yeary; his sister Jewell Gilpin (J. C.); and his brother-in-law Lewis Marcum. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Yeary; his sons, William Harold Yeary and Adam Yeary; his stepdaughter Pam Phipps; and his siblings, Fred Yeary (Mary) and Agnes Marcum. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
