It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Brooks (Ewing, Virginia), who passed away on October 19, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alwayne Brooks and Ethel Brooks (Cowan); and his siblings, J. T. Brooks, Jack Brooks and Martha Harrell.
He is survived by: his wife Delois Jean Brooks of Ewing, VA; his son James "Jamie" Brooks (Tammy); his grandsons, Jacob Thomas Brooks of Chapel Hill, NC, Lucas Aaron Brooks of Monkton, MD and Joseph Isaac Brooks of Monkton, MD; his siblings, Kenneth Brooks of Pontiac, Michigan and Barbara Mathis of Amo, Indiana; his siblings-in-law, Judy Cox of Salem, Virginia and Benny Ayers of Livedale, Florida; and his close friends, Carl Bailey of Ewing, David Bush of Arthur, Ed and Janet Bush of Arthur. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
