It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Harley Long of Ewing, Virginia, born in Rose Hill, Virginia, who passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Long and Ollis Sue Daniels Long; his daughter Velvet Hunley; and his siblings, Grover Long, Claude Long, Austin Long, J. Harold Long, Genelle Newton, Lillian Long, Thelma Neal and Elizabeth Hensley.
He is survived by: his great grandchild Levi Daniels; his wife Audrey Hensley Long; his children, Robin Long-Hawk (Alvin), Henry Long (Jessica) and Ben Long (Crystal); and his siblings, Willard Long (Jeannie), Don Long (Barb) and Brenda Owens (Larry). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
