He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel McDonald Beaty and Willie Frank Lawson Beaty; his wife Kathryn Sue Sergent Beaty; and his sisters, Helen Lou Beaty Holt and Anna Marie Beaty Chance.
He is survived by: his siblings, Donald Lawson Beaty and Jan Rose Beaty Edds (late Franklin Edds); his nieces and nephews, Rose Anna Edds Copeland (late Ernest Copeland), Jeffrey Beaty Edds (JoAnna), Mary Helen Edds Richmond (John), John Franklin Edds Jr. (Carrie) and Michael Jerry Edds (Jeniefer); and his cousins, Sharon Mazzeo and Shannon Mazzeo. He is also survived by Several other nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lee Memorial Gardens Park West (Rose Hill, VA 24281).
