He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Odell Brown and Braskie Hicks Brown; and his former wife Angie Johnson Brown. He is survived by: his children, Vickie Newman and William E. Brown, Jr.; his wife Diane; and his sisters, Faye Brittain, Dolly Lail, Dorothy Hedrick and Ruby Auton. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren.
