He was predeceased by: his father Clarence "Sonny" E. Witt, Jr.; and his grandmother Fanna Campbell Floyd. He is survived by: his mother Brenda Floyd Witt; his children, Tyler E. Witt (Megan), Joshua C. Witt, Lena Grace Witt, Katelyn Campbell (Ben) and Brandy Bryant; his sister Connie S. Witt; his grandson Clinton James Souther; and his nephew Rodney V. Allen, Jr..
