He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jackson McGregor and Lillie Haley McGregor; his wife Sylvia Jefferson McGregor; and his siblings, Thomas J. McGregor, Johnny H. McGregor, Edith Hicks, Mattie Thompson, Iris Rowe, Mabel Hayward and Arzella Hayward.
He is survived by: his children, Mark McGregor (Brenda) of Huntersville, NC and Cindy M. Stewart of Altavista; and his grandchildren, Jonathan McGregor, BethAnn Buck (Justin), Cody McGregor and Shane Stewart.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Legion Lynchburg Post 16 or to Penuel Baptist Church of Altavista.
