He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Sturgill and Pearl Sturgill; his son Adam Brett Sturgill; his father-in-law Paul Gilbert Pugh, Sr.; and his brother John David Sturgill.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Pugh; his mother-in-law Alta Pugh; and also, Joan Shutt (Terry), Mark Pugh (Tracey), Kathy Plourde, Penny Dooley and Paul G. Pugh Jr. (Marlene). He is also survived by his family, friends.
