She was predeceased by: her spouse Charles Henry Benedict; her parents, Alger Barkley and Mary Coutre Barkley; her siblings, Pauline Vitello, John Barkley and Malcolm Barkley; and her grandson Michael Goodwin.

She is survived by: her children, Christine B. Callahan (James) of Evington, Anne Goodwin (Stephen) of Evington and Michael Benedict of Evington; her sisters, Hilda Backus of Liverpool, NY and Agnes Klodzen of Mattydale, NY; and her granddaughter Rachel Goodwin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
