He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Allen Alvis and Sonia Elise Riley Alvis; and his brother Bill Alvis. He is survived by: his wife Renee Walls Alvis; his daughter Sonia Elise Alvis; and his sisters, Beth Johnson (Dan) and Marye Ann Hankla (Alfred). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
