It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Bowyer Hodnett of Evington, Virginia, born in Bedford, Virginia, who passed away on November 7, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Douglas Bowyer and Mary Newman Bowyer; her husband Bennett Coleman Hodnett; her siblings, Richard Bowyer, Lewis Bowyer and Emma Davis; and her daughter-in-law Cyndi Hodnett.
She is survived by: her son Bennett C. Hodnett, Jr.; her granddaughter Payton Renee Hodnett; her siblings, Gordon Bowyer (Chloe Ann), Rachel Beeler, Judy Mitchell and Jean Foley; her nephew George Hodnett; and her close friends, Kim Scott and Carolyn Perdieu. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
