He is survived by: his children, Herman A. Pannell, Jr. (Joan) of Rustburg, Edith P. Whitfield (Billy) of Gretna, Dale Kelly (Charles) of Maryland and Shelia Brown (Stanley) of Altavista, Virginia; and his siblings, Haywood Pannell (Arlene) of Long Island, Virginia, John Pannell (Cynthia) of Long Island, Virginia and Mildred Hunt (Alfonso) of Hurt, Virginia. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
