She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Palti Beasley and Virgie Inge Beasley; her husband Claude Swanson Hamlett; and her brothers, Grover Beasley, Jr. and Vernon Beasley.
She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Johnson of Evington; and her brother T. Benjamin Beasley (Phyllis) of Richmond. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenfield Baptist Church Cemetery (384 Fairmont Rd, Gretna, VA 24557).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Hurt United Methodist Church, 196 Ramp Road, Hurt, VA 24563.
