She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas Gables and Dorothy Frazier Gables. She is survived by: her husband Mark Wayne Drinkard; her children, Carlton Wesley Childress, Jr. (Lisa) of Goode, VA and April D. Shelton of Huddleston, VA.; and her stepson Jeremiah Drinkard. She is also survived by grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.
