It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Connell Seckman Hicks of Evington, Virginia, who passed away on March 8, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Parker Seckman and Beula Mae Seckman; her husband Robert E. Hicks, Jr.; her siblings, D. P. Seckman and Serena Green; and her son Mark Friend.

She is survived by: her son Robert Hicks, III; her grandson Robert Hicks, IV; her godson John Wern Jr.; her siblings, Laura Passmore (George) of Culpepper and Mike Seckman (Vicky) of Middlebrook; her sister-in-law Janie Seckman; and her nieces, Donna Thomas, Sara Brown, Daphne Ryczko and Gail Powers.
