He was predeceased by: his brother Lawrence Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Rev. Mary F Thomas; his children, Richard Brown, Leo Thomas Jr., Cynthia Curry, Shirley Thomas, Faye Thomas, Mignonetta Thomas, Verna Mae Rush and Valanta Childress (John); and his siblings, Christene Thomas of Esmont, Elmer Thomas (Grace) of Georgia and Bishop Joseph Thomas (Anderia) of Maryland. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members.
