It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Genevieve Linda Jones of Esmont, Virginia, born in Charlottesville, Virginia, who passed away on October 20, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Genevieve may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Agee and Lucille Agee (Sayers); her husband Bobbie Alton Jones; and her brother Wayne Agee. She is survived by: her daughter Sheila White (Jimmy) of Charlottesville; her grandchildren, Angel White of Fluvanna and Jay White of Charlottesville; her great grandchild Elijah Snowden; and her brother Clay Agee of North Garden. She is also survived by six nieces and five nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Alberene Cemetery (3061 Alberene Church Ln, Esmont, VA 22937).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of the Piedmont.
