He was predeceased by: his parents, Rueben Henry Epps and Mattie L. W. Jones; and his stepfather Harold Curtis Jones. He is survived by: his wife Iona "Lou" Epps; his daughter Leona Denise E. Dabney (Shaun); his granddaughters, Qualicia Brianna Epps (Branden) and De'Shauna Lakia Epps (Mikka); his brothers, Harold Rodney Jones (Rosalyn) and Steven Maurice Jones (Cynthia); his nephew Harold Quincy Jones; his nieces, Ebony, Danielle, Maya and Waltine Eubanks; and also Jack. He is also survived by beautiful children Denton's great nieces & nephews; and brother-in-law.
A graveside service will be held at 12 p. m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at New Hope Baptist Church, 7725 Porters Road, Esmont, Va., Per Covid protocol masks are required to be worn for all in attendance at the service.
