He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Carey and Gertrude Scott Carey. He is survived by: his children, Cornell S. Carey of New Haven and Cheryl Lisa Carey-Warner of Buckingham; and his siblings, Norbert Carey of Charlottesville, Marie Davis of Manhattan and Elizabeth Gray of Esmont. He is also survived by Four grandchildren and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.
