She was predeceased by: her father John Thomas; her husband Marshall Lifsey; her mother Bertha Wilks Thomas (Wilks); her siblings, Willis Thomas, Lee Thomas, Louise Porter and Phyllis Johnson; and her grandson James Ivory Lifsey.
She is survived by: her children, Wendell Lifsey (Queen) of Dinwiddie, VA, Ivory Lifsey (Freddie) of Wichita, KS, Emma Jean Lifsey Gambrill of Baltimore, MD and Gladys Lifsey Mason (James) of Petersburg, VA; her sister-in-law Ella-Ruth Hawthorne (late Robert); and her goddaughter Odessa Winfield (Gene). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren.
