She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bowen and Daisy Newsome Bowen; her former husbands, Garland M. Malone and Carl W. Gauldin, Sr.; her sons, Garland Lee Malone and Carl W. Gauldin, Jr.; and her daughter-in-law Maxine Phillips Malone.
She is survived by: her daughter Bonnie G. McWilliams (Peter) of Durham, NC; her grandchildren, Robin McWilliams of Raleigh, NC, Allison McWilliams of Winston-Salem, NC, Cathy Malone Adcock (Jim) of Tifton, GA, Lee Malone (Rose), Chris Malone (Belinda) of Chesapeake, VA and Timothy Gauldin Crawley (Stephanie) of Raleigh, NC; her daughters-in-law, Peggy Gauldin Crawley and Joyce Malone Spears; her sister Nellie Roberts of Blackstone, VA; and her sister-in-law Marie Bowen of Emporia, VA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, the Greensville Volunteer Rescue Squad or New Century Hospice.
