He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Allen and Ollie Allen; his brother Jerry W. Allen; and his sister-in-law Cecelia Allen. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Harris Allen; his brothers, Bobby Allen (Daphine), Clint Allen (Pat) and Dennis Allen; and his pet Mistletoe.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Forest Hill Baptist Church or Hospice of Virginia.
