He was predeceased by: his parents, Charner Rush Lifsey and Estelle Davis Lifsey of Emporia. He is survived by: his son Charner "Rush" Lifsey III (Kate) of Virginia Beach; his sisters, Linda Lifsey of Leesburg and Carolyn Powers (Rick) of Emporia; and his nephews, Corey (Heather) of Emporia and Crae Daniels of Emporia. He is also survived by 2 great-nephews and 1 great-niece, and many other family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Greensville Fire Department or Greensville Volunteer Rescue Squad.
