With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Claire Franklin Rasor of Emory, Virginia, born in Cartersville, Georgia, who passed away on May 6, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul and Margaret Franklin, Jr. (Burke); and her close friend Eugene Latimer Rasor. She is survived by: her significant other Gene Rasor; her sister Alice Franklin Aiken (Jim); her daughters, Robin Hultberg (Craig), Lynn Rasor (Steve Rhodes) and Laura Rasor (David Schoeni); and her grandchildren, Cora, Jake, Hannah, Sam, Sarah, Gabriella and Abraham.
Being mindful of COVID-19, masks and social distancing are encouraged.
Instead of flowers, the family encourages contributions to the Recycling/Medical Assistance Fund at Emory United Methodist Church, the Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians, and/or Dance for Parkinson's Disease.
