It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Theado Simmons of Elliston, Virginia, who passed away on December 23, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Berkley Simmons and Evelyn Simmons; his son Ronnie Caldwell; his brothers, Chauncey, Willis and Richard; his brother-in-law Eugene Waid; and his close friend Bill Ford.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Simmons; his children, Rebecca Jackson, Theado Edward Simmons Jr. "Buck" (Mitzi), Crystal Labyzon (Pete) and Jerry Caldwell (Patty); his grandson Andy (Sara); his children, Michael, Brian, Brad (Chelsey), Ron, Mariah, Zachary, Mackenlee, Logan and Chenita; his great grandchildren, Victor, Delante, Emily and Andrew; his siblings, James (Diane), Berkley Jr. (Vivian), Hazel (Jerome) and Ruby; his sisters-in-law, Louise, Anna and Sarah; and his close friend Robert Wooten. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
