It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Lewis Smith of Elliston, Virginia, who passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Fred Lewis Smith. He is survived by: his wife Sallie Smith; his children, Josh Smith, Aubrey Wilcher (Matt) and Randall Jessee; his mother Pauline Smith; his grandchildren, Kennedy Smith, Gabe Smith, Michael Wilcher, Waylon Jessee and Riley Jessee; his close friends, Amber and Brent Cooper; and his siblings, Brenda, Genie, Mona, Nita, Rita and Daryl. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
