She was predeceased by: her husband Wallace Helm; and her parents, William Starkey and Josephine Starkey. She is survived by: her children, Jay Helm (Susan), Shelby Bowles and Cindy Hale (Gary); her grandchildren, Jason Helm, Eric Helm, Lindsey Hale Ollis and Zachary Bowles; her great grandchildren, Riley Ollis, Nate Ollis and Carma Mitchen; and her sisters, Beulah Akers and Evelyn Jones.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice at 2408 Electric Road in Roanoke, Va. 24018.
