He was predeceased by: his parents, Euel Kessinger and Virgie Stevers Kessinger; his son Randy Kessinger; his grandson Billy "BJ" Havens; and his brothers, Donnie Kessinger and Wilvin Kessinger.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Martin Kessinger; his children, Tammy Shultz (Mike) of Lindside, WV, Rocky Kessinger (Judy) of Elliston, VA, Billy Kessinger of Elliston, VA and Marty Kessinger of Salem, VA; his stepdaughter Sherry Havens (Gene) of Pearisburg; and his siblings, Roger Kessinger (Marsha) of Goldbond, James Kessinger of Goldbond and Betty Tucker. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
