He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer E. Pence and Bertha Dovel Pence; his wife Doris Ellen Pence; his siblings, Ervin, Henry Pence, Ruth Lam and Louise Miller; and his grandsons, Tyler and Andrew Jenkins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Breeden (Brian), Lisa Jenkins (Kip) and Stephanie Dofflemyer (Greg); and his brother Clyde Pence. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Rockingham High School Athletic Booster Club or the Ferrum College Football Team.
