He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Dovall Smith and Clarice Ada Lawson Smith; and his sister Edna Parrott. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Dianne Arrington Smith; his children, Russell S. Smith Jr., Charlie Parks (Laura), Alan Parks (Maggie), Rachel Knight (Jessie) and CarriAnne Parks; his grandson Dakota Lam; and his sisters, Mary Williams (Harris), Doris Williams (Johnny), Bonnie Comer, Debbie Morris (Gary) and Brenda Crawford (Ben). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
