He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Elbert and Frances Mae Comer Shifflett; his daughter Kathy Shifflett Kisling; his granddaughter Lauren Dawn Shifflett; his brother Wade Shifflett; and his nephew Randall Hensley.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Marie Shifflett; his daughter Kimberly Shifflett of Elkton; his siblings, Lonnie "Bud" Shifflett, Jr. (Betty) of Elkton, Michael Shifflett (Debbie) of Elkton, Dorcas Shifflett (Dewey) of Dyke, Shelby Hensley (Lawrence) of Elkton and Carolyn Shifflett (Roger) of Charlottesville; his grandchildren, Brittany Shifflett and Tristan Dean; his great grandchild Ryleigh Sheaves; and his aunt Mary Lam of Elkton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
