She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemuel Brown and Cora Lam (Watson); her son Derrell Shifflett; and her siblings, Howard, Glenville, Forrest Lam, Leila Dean, Lillian Richards and Hilda Edwards.
She is survived by: her husband Elwood Clegg Shifflett; her sons, Larry Shifflett (Jackie) and Allen Shifflett of Elkton; her daughter-in-law Margie Shifflett; her grandchildren, Melody Shifflett, Rebecca Shifflett, Chad Shifflett, Derrick Shifflett, Troy Shifflett, Beth Shifflett, Shannon Shifflett, Jeff Shifflett and Brian Shifflett; and her stepgrandson Troy Taylor. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
