He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson William and Gracie Lee Morris Shifflett; the mother of his children Barbara Ann Haney; his son Anthony Eric Shifflett; his sisters, Elizabeth Kite and Lena Shifflett; and his great grandchild Tyler Hensley.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Shifflett (Jeanette) of Bryce, Nadine Sengul (Oguz) of Harrisonburg and Denise Fauls of Elkton; his siblings, Fred Shifflett, Phyllis Propes of Elkton, Margie Dean of Elkton, Frances Herring of Elkton and Ruby Clements of Elkton; his grandchildren, Chris Hensley (Wendy), Eric Hensley and Matthew Sengul; and his great grandchildren, Austin, Aaron Hensley and Anthony Shifflett. He is also survived by six great-great-grandchildren.
