Ray Edward Dovel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ray Edward Dovel of Elkton, Virginia, who passed away on March 15, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edgar and Sudie Lourene Grimsley Dovel; and his siblings, Shelby Jean Blosser, Frankie Lee Dovel and Wayne Durwood Dovel.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Brown Dovel; his children, Dana Rae Keyes (Carey) of Elkton and Ryan Edward Dovel (Nikki) of Harrisonburg; his brother-in-law Michael Brown (Kathy) of Waynesboro; his grandsons, Cooper Keyes, Brenton Carey Keyes and Isaiah Ray Dovel; and his close friends, Carl and Bobbi Hewitt of Waynesboro. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that gifts in Ray's memory be given to the Shenandoah Assembly of God Building Fund, 712 Maryland Avenue, Shenandoah, VA 22849.
