He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie E. Shifflett, Sr. and Frances Mae Comer; his brothers, Lonnie Jr. "Bud", Russell "Russ" and Wade; his nephew Randall Hensley; and his niece Kathy Kisling.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Kay Hensley; his sons, Jeremy (Megan) of Grottoes, Matthew (Amber) of Elkton and SrA Jacob Shifflett; his grandsons, Steven, Jackson, Aiden, Gunnar and Abel; his children, Adelynn and Tucker; and his sisters, Dorcas Shifflett (Dewey) of Stanardsville, Shelby Hensley (Lawrence) of Elkton and Carolyn Shifflett (Roger) of Charlottesville.
