She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Morris and Ethel Morris (Herring); her husband Stanley Smith; her daughter Bonnie K. Smith; and her sisters, Sue Hussey, Betty Dofflemyer and Clairene Lance.
She is survived by: her children, Neil Smith (Dorenda) of Front Royal, Deborah Smith of Elkton, Stanley E. "Tony" Smith, Jr. (Nancy) of Waynesboro, Jesse Smith (Linda) of Mathias, WV and Barbara Thornton (William) of Grottoes; her grandson Barry Herring (Jennifer Thomas) of Elkton; her siblings, Bobby Morris (Terri) of Staunton, Larry Morris (Ann) of Dayton, Sonny Morris of Harrisonburg, Pete Morris of Elkton and Phyllis Hensley of McGaheysville; and her close friend Laurie Rice. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
