John Edward Sanders Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Edward Sanders of Elkton, Virginia, born in Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on September 11, 2020 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Edward Sanders to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Romie H. Sanders and Ora Sanders; and his siblings, Otis, Romie D., James Sanders, Mamie Sanders, Morning Miller, Iris Sanders, Sarah Diggs, Willie Atkinson and Ora Mae Sanders.
He is survived by: his wife Dorthea Davis Sanders; his children, Travis Sanders of California, Winston Sanders (Marysol) of Florida and Lisa Hansbrough (Keith) of Elkton; and his grandchildren, Traci Miller Watson, Kyle Jones, Damaris, Mattheus Sanders, Mackenzie Turner, Winston Sanders, Jr., Tariq and Laila Hansbrough. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions, face coverings are required and social distancing is encouraged.
