He was predeceased by: his parents, Jefferson W. Hensley Sr. and Dorothy Gray Hensley; his wife Betty Louise Hammer Hensley; and his siblings, Lawrence G. Hensley and JoAnn Dean.
He is survived by: his son Russell Scott Hensley of Hawaii; his stepson Kenneth Hueber of Hawaii; his daughter Kristi Breeden (Charles) of Harrisonburg; his stepdaughter Cindy Wheelbarger (Bryan) of Mt. Sidney; his sisters, Barbara Knighton of Elkton and Patty Berry (Doug) of Elkton; his grandchildren, Megan Hensley, Bryce Good (Charles), Evan Hensley, Joshua Breeden, Alexa Breeden, Camden Breeden and Zoe Breeden; and his great grandchildren, Adalyn Good, Everly Good, Kylan Knight, Maddex Good and Tamara Hill.
