Blakey and Myrtle Toliver Blakey; his brother Douglas Blakey; his wife Maria Blakey; his children, Stefonia Blakey-Mason, Chauncey Blakey and Doris Carias Lara; his sisters, Catherine Hatcher, Jacqueline Blakey-Simmons and Collen Walden; and his cousin Ralph Sampson Jr.. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
