She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Sonny" Franklin Norman, Jr. and Beatrice Odessa Dove Norman; and her siblings, Lana Vance, Brenda Norman, Karen Whetzel and James "Jimmy" Norman, III.
She is survived by: her children, Eric Scott Smith (Dee) of Staunton and Dana Smith Moyer (Jay) of McGaheysville; her sisters, Natalie N. Didawick of Harrisonburg and Valerie N. Brett of Harrisonburg; and her grandson Ashby Blake Moyer of Harrisonburg. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
