He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorsey Z. Dean and Delilah Hensley Dean; and his children, Keith "Gator" Allen Dean and Barbara. He is survived by: his spouse Carroll Dean (Shifflett); his children, Winston L. Dean (Lynn "Little Red") of Ruckersville and Linda A. Herring of Elkton; his siblings, Shirley L. Dean of Elkton and Velma Crawford of Stanardsville; his daughter-in-law Sherri Dean of Grottoes; and his sister-in-law Arvonia Dean of Elkton. He is also survived by husband and a wonderful Dad to his children and Granddaddy to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
