With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Lee Hensley of Elkton, Virginia, born in Harrisonburg, Virginia, who passed away on August 29, 2022 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother Kenneth Hensley; his nephew Cody Shifflett; and his brother-in-law Anthony P. Shifflett. He is survived by: his parents, Sherwood Hensley and Frances Breeden Hensley; his wife Pamela Shifflett Hensley; his children, Stephanie Southers (Brian), Michael Hensley (Jessy Lyles), Matthew Long (Katie) and Morgan Cannon (Nick); his sisters, Debbie Shifflett (Mike) and Joyce Shifflett (Roscoe); his grandchildren, Amber Kephart (Dustin), Whitney Southers, Anthony Southers, Sydney Southers, Gage Hensley, Parker Cannon, Chase Cannon, Alayna Hensley and Grant Long; his great grandchildren, Canaan, Nevaeh, Ariel and Omari; and his parents-in-law, Paul and Ruby Shifflett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
