He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie S. Merica and Vida Mae Dean Merica; and his brother Archie Lee "Butch" Merica. He is survived by: his spouse Merry Ellen Merica (Hensley); his children, Trevor Merica, Melanie Merica, Miranda Merica (Michael), Shane and Young; and his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Nate, Jacob Hollen, Noah Campbell, Dakotah Hensley, Desiree Dawn Brown and Destinee Lee Brown. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
