She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Calvin and Hilda Leap Black; her sister Jane Bradley; and her husband Bobby Wakefield Gooden. She is survived by: her sons, Bobby Wakefield "Wake" Gooden II (Debra Whitlock Gooden) and Joseph Marvin Gooden (Lisa Buracker Gooden); her grandchildren, Jodi Gooden, Kristen Hydrick (Allen), Joshua Gooden, Joseph Gooden and Jaclyn Gooden; and her great grandchildren, Tanner Breeden, Benjamin Hydrick and Emma Hydrick. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Ridge Garden Club or Elkton United Methodist Church.
