He was predeceased by: his father Carl Wesley Dovel Sr. Carl. He is survived by: his mother Frances Dovel (Wallenborn); his wife Vickie Lynn Brill Dovel; his son Matthew "Shane" Dovel; his daughter-in-law Ashley Natalia Dovel; his grandchildren, Jada Arehart and Taylor Dovel; and his brothers, Steve Dovel, Daniel Dovel and Ralph Salgado.
