He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Funk and Agnes Poole Funk. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Funk of Elk Creek, Virginia; his daughter Amy; his son-in-law Jon Larson of Mendoda, Virginia; his son Adam Funk of Independence, Virginia; his grandchildren, Justin Funk of Savannah, Georgia, Darcy Funk of Abingdon, Heather, Brandon Weikle of Hinton and Everette Larson of Mendoda, Virginia; his brother-in-law Darrell Melton of Elk Creek, Virginia; and his friend Gaye Miller of Elk Creek, Virginia.. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
