He is survived by: his parents, Jo Ann Cox Cheeks of Elk Creek and Hack Cheeks; his sister Maria Jo (Darren Shepherd); his stepdaughter Holly Hoback of Texas; his stepgrandson Rhett Hoback of Texas; and his close friends, Steve Taylor and Sarina Johnson. He is also survived by one niece; three nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles.
