He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Causey Sr. and Sue Alice Cornett Causey; and his grandfathers, Dr. William Causey (Lillian) and Forrest Cornett (Effie). He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Ann Causey; his sister Virginia Fryar; his stepchildren, Steven Boyles (Traci) and Jennifer Jordan (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Austin Boyles (Sherah), Avery Boyles (Meleah), Ava Childers, Jace Childers, Johnathan Jordan and Jachin Jordan; his great grandchild Koa Boyles; his sisters-in-law, Theresa Hunt (Jerry), Susan Oxentine and Kim Franklin (Mike); his nieces and nephews, Donna West (Carl), Valarie Davis (Jeremy), Jerry Hunt Jr. and Mika Franklin; his great-nieces, Laurel West and Delanie Davis; his friends, Arnold and Rita Tester; and also, River Miller and Madelyn Miller. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Mt. Zion Methodist Church, the Elk Creek, VA Rescue Squad, or the Rutherford College Lions Club.
