He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Joseph Rice and Hilda Gertrude Foley Rice; and his brother Warren Lee Rice. He is survived by: his sons, William "Billy" Joseph Rice (Edinburg), Richard Edward Rice (New Market) and Timothy Allen Rice (Stephens City); his grandchildren, Jared, Tyler (Maurertown), Blake, Cody (New Market), Ethan and Declan (Stephens City); and his sisters, Mary Ellen Abbott, Debbie Kay Rice, Ruth Ann Osborn and Carol Jean Osborn.
