He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Irvin George and Mamie Mae Smoot George; his siblings, Evelyn Burner (Ralph), Johnnie (Rose), Alger (Nancy), James Leo (Beatrice), Clifford and Freddie; his parents-in-law, William Ford Pifer and Gladys Coffman Pifer; and his brothers-in-law, Wilbur Kingree (Cora) and William Pifer Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Doris Ann Pifer George; his children, Dennis George (Kimberly) of Edinburg and Carlotta McCormick (Gregory) of Spotsylvania; his grandchildren, Dustin George (Sara), Erin Bockey (Brandon), Brett McCormick (Ashley), Allison Beckenstrater (Billy) and Brandon McCormick (Brehanna); his siblings-in-law, Sylvia George, Beverly George, Mary Sue Polk (Earl) and Donnie Pifer (Barbara); and his friends, Dale and Caroline Wetzel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
